There are hundreds, no not hundred but thousands of online shopping websites and facebook pages to shop from. Still for online shopping I trust only few, Reasons ?
#1 I am not sure about the sizing. I like my clothes/shoes to fit me well so I choose online websites which have a good return policy (in case) and are well trusted.
#2 I am very particular about the quality of clothes. I dislike the thin fabric that sticks to skin.
#3 I am little hesitant to buy from websites that are not of indian origin, and deliver us through international shipping, since there are numerous factors to be taken care of for the shipment to reach safely.
So I particularly opt for well trusted Indian Websites which I am 90 percent sure about would deliver quality clothing. Sharing my few websites with you, in case you know of any other please mention in comments so that even I can check them out.
Along with sites I am also mentioning few irresistible sale picks from them which I am craaaviiing for but cannot buy since one,I have already splurged a lot and two, my size is not available. So I thought why not give you a chance to buy these lovelies.
I love stuff at Mango. Even if Mango store is available in your town there are tons of designs that won't be available at the nearest store but would be up online. Also, I am quite certain about the standard sizing of Mango and quality of clothes, so I find it comfortable shopping from the site.
For shoes, I bet Steve Madden is best online shop in India. Steve Madden Heels provide appropriate support and fit which makes walking in heels a piece of cake.

Lady C: Stop you ladies! You both always talk only about the jewellery that you have. Don’t you believe in making offerings of gold to the deities in the temples? My family does that every year on Diwali.
Lady D: I agree with C. My family and I too offer gold in the temple. Besides, every year my husband purchases some form of gold, like- biscuit, coin, necklace, chain or loose diamonds as part of investment.
What can one gather from the above mentioned discussion of the ladies? That they love talking? Noooo!! That they love boasting about themselves? Naaaa!! Then what?
One can easily sum up the discussion under single inverted commas ‘DIFFERENT REASONS, ONE CHOICE’
This means that the purpose of buying jewels may differ from person to person, family to family but the choice of jewel is the same, i.e., gold or gold based jewellery. Gold has always had a special place in the hearts of Indians in all ages. It’s significance spreads from mythological reasons to glorifying events or achievements or possessions after its name, like golden jubilee, gold medals and gold credit card.
Any Indian festival or auspicious occasion is incomplete without adorning a piece of gold jewellery. Imagine an Indian bride, beautifully dressed in red but wearing no gold! The thought itself of imagining such a bride is so incomplete without gold jewellery.
Apart from the usual aesthetic motive behind purchasing gold jewellery in Indian weddings, it has got a different meaning to it too. The idea of parents giving gold jewellery to daughters on her wedding has both security and sentimental reasons behind it. It ensures a secure and financially independent future as gold eventually translates into money with constant appreciation of value.
Besides weddings, some of the occasions when buying gold is considered auspicious includes Dhanteras, Dussehra, Durga Pooja and Navratri. Gold is also the symbol of the hindu Goddess Lakshmi. Since a lot of customs and traditions are involved with the purchase of gold jewellery, gold always enjoys a certain superiority over other forms of jewellery.
Also, gold is highly liquid as a security or asset and so it is considered an equivalent to liquid cash. It can be converted to cash when an exigency arises and so it is considered as a friend in need. Recently, the new age solitaire or online diamond stores like www.addimon.com are promoting their buy back policies for loose diamond or solitaires which can be an alternate investments as investment in diamonds has also yielded good returns in the last 5-10 years. Hence the trend of ”Invest in diamonds” is also picking up but is far from craze of gold.
Last but not the least, gold has great value as heirloom. Gold jewellery is something which can be passed from one generation to another as ancestral property.
So, these are the reasons which attribute to the ever increasing fascination for gold in India. And probably this fascination for gold since ages also contributed to the reason of India being known as the ‘golden bird’ or ‘sone ki chidiya’ in earlier days.
